Location
The
Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty lies either sideof the
valley of the River Stour
on the Essex/Suffolk
border, stretching from Manningtree in the east to Wormingford in the west.

The
LIGHTER green area is not yet included in the AONB. Despite rejection
of this area by the Countryside Commission in 1991, the Dedham
Vale Society will continue to lobby for its eventual inclusion.
The DARKER green areas are Sites of Special Scientific Interest.
