DVS
policies are not prepared for their own sake or in isolation,
but in response to the proposed plans of public bodies. These,
once complete, often represent binding commitments. To protect
the Vale from threats in the future, we need to engage with these
documents while they are being prepared.
We
use this page of the website, therefore, to publish our comments
on:
These
are as submitted to the relevant bodies, so are in whatever format
was dictated by that purpose. They contain statements of DVS
policy on, in particular:
- Climate
change and spatial planning - AONB
Plan comments, 2nd attachment, point 2
- Traffic
and Transport - AONB
Plan comments, 1st attachment
- Affordable
housing - comments on the EEIP (above) point 3c;
and AONB Plan comments, 2nd attachment, point 3
- The
extent of the “Haven Gateway” planning sub-region - comments
on the EEIP (above), point 11a
We
intend to add to this as we do further work on such documents,
especially Babergh District Council’s emerging Local Development
Framework.
We
also intend to use this material as a basis for discussions with
other amenity bodies, parish councils and other local interests,
with a view to increasing the influence of this work.
We
should be happy to receive any comments - please forward them
to the Secretary: enquiries@dedhamvalesociety.org.uk
